Hurricane ErnestoThe remninces of Hurricane Ernesto visited us over the first part of the holiday weekend and what is usually the best
fishing weekend of the year was a total wash out. We had sustained winds of 40 knots with gusts up to 50 knots all day
on Friday and Saturday. The swells on the ocean were over 10ft. A couple of folks tried fishing on Monday but
the fishing was totally turned off. It will take a good couple of days for the silt in the water to settle out and for
the fish to purge themselves of all of the sediment they ingested. The forcast is for calm seas for the next five days
which is what we will need to get the fish turned back on again. They are still there and they will be extra hungry
when they decide to start feeding again.
